Thats right, it's nearly here!!!...But first a recap of last year:
As the crowd filtered into the Market Inn for the final of the Let Me Entertain You D.J. Don slowly was moving his mellow beats to more upbeat sounds to reflect the anticipation of the crowd.

First to tread the boards was Patricia Mc Guigan assisted by her backing dancer Stacey. She sang a very energetic version of Honey Honey from Mama Mia by Abba.

Next act was Emmet Stewart who seemed to have some problem getting to the stage so the multi talented judge Marty Mc Guigan filled the slot like a true professional. Emmet sang “don’t stop me now” ironically as after a delayed start, he was hard to stop.

Third act of the evening was Ronan Campbell who sang “When I Get High” from Afroman adourned by a kitchen clock worn as a time medallion.

Sinead Smith then in sixties style gave a rendition of “Build Me Up Buttercup” which gave the crowd a nice finale to the 1st half of the competition.
The Judges were already under pressure as standards were high. Judging were Liam Mc Guigan, Marty Mc Guigan and Austin Mc Killion. They took it in turn to interview each contestant as they arrived on the stage.

The second half was kicked off by Draperstown boy band JCLS- Jarlath Mc Guigan, Conor Mc Kenna, Sean Heron and Lee Groogan. They did a mix of Bohemian Rhapsody and Young Man by Village people. They entered in full monk robes for 1st part followed by a de-robing for village people.

A rastafaraian look was taken by the next contestant Darren Mc Guigan who sang a very lively version of “Give Me Hope Joanna” by Eddie Grant.

The penultimate act Ann-Marie Mc Bride and Nigel who sang “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee complete with psychedelic suits and red glitter platform boots.

Last but by no means least was Carole Hughes who sang a mix of Christina Aguilera “Candy Man” and Lulu’s “Shout” who threw her wig to the crowd in the transition.
The Judges reconvened to upstairs to make their very difficult decision of the top three.
The Judges appointed Austin Mc Killion to be the spokesman of the prize winners.
The crowd were eager in anticipation as Austin announced
3rd) Emmet Stewart.
2nd) Jcls.
1st) Darren Mc Guigan.
They shared in the prize fund of £700 and everyone had a great night’s entertainment.
The organisers would like to thank all the entrants of the 5 heats, to the 3 judges, Liam, Marty and Austin. To D.J. Don who needed electronic magic at times.
And now onto this year!!!
