“Let Me Entertain You 2012”

As we look towards the forthcoming hugely popular “Let Me Entertain You” competition at the Market Inn, Draperstown, commencing Saturday 4^th February 2012- we reflect on the success of the 2011 competition.

Now in its sixth year of running, the competition continues to be very successful, drawing large crowds to the 4 heats, and brightening up Winter Saturday nights. With X factor now over on TV, the Let Me Entertain You competition at the Market Inn, can fill that gap!

The final took place in March last year with 8 superb Acts chosen from 20 entrants through 4 heats.

The 8 finalists in the 2011 competition were Gary D from Derry who represented the north of the county, Mineen– a lively, local Double act. Conan Buijuid – Local lad with plenty of energy; Peter Mc Kenna- from Bellaghy, Shannon O Connor – a great Katie Perry cover, Ester- Ester had her twin sister in the comp last year with Hester and came 3^rd. Other finalists were: Conor Mc Kenna with a great Bon Jovi number and Jarlath Mc Guigan- Previous winner who did not let the crowd down with a “Whole Lotta Rosie”.

The winners last year were:

3) Joint 3^rd Peter Mc Kenna & Shannon O Connor
